Pigging Out on Piggy Parts
One of my favorite vendors at the farmer's markets has been the charcuterie, The Spotted Trotter. I've had their bacon, sausages, and cured meats. I eat them sparingly as they are incredibly rich and a little goes a long way.
They were at the farmer's market and various retailers had some of their products, but they recently announced that they were opening a retail store. To kick it off they had a wonderful opening night party. Cindy thought it would be a dozen or so people and some appetizers on toothpicks. Boy was she wrong. I knew it would be a bigger deal than that but I certainly didn't expect all that was there. Several local restaurants, including HD1, a new hot-spot were serving their specialties. HD1 as you might have guessed were dolling out gourmet hot-dogs, delicious, by the way. My favorite beer joint, or should I say craft beer market, Ale Yeah! was pouring our wonderful ales and such. They even had a DJ who was playing good tunes at just the right volume.
