I have always loved stair workouts. And have participated in several stairclimb races, the Willis Tower SkyRise Chicago 2010 being by far the most memorable, 2,109 steps or 103 flights to the Skydeck and the finish in 23 min 36 seconds.
But enough of resting on my laurels
I had been looking for stairs to train on in Atlanta. They have some good ones over at Piedmont Park that I had used when we were staying across the street. But I had been hoping to find some more local or more concentrated.
The other day I found both, right down the street at the new Historic Fourth Ward Park
And I had only been on the lower area of the park. There's even more stairs a little up the way.
