Today, however was a different story. I gave my new Brute Strength Sandbag a go. I bought the Strongman bag which I figured I would work my way up to. Why buy the Athlete Sandbag when you know you'll breeze through it.
Quick side note- just loading the sand bag(s) with sand was a workout.
I started the work out with a jump rope/juggling/hula-hoop warm-up and then I got to the serious sand bag workout.
My Strongman bag can hold 3 40 lb sandbags. After loading in all three so I could transport it from the car to the house, I decided 1 40 lb. sandbag could offer a sufficient work out.
Yeah. It kicked my ass. I did one circuit on a three circuit routine and then played around with the bag. Did the Turkish get-up, because I figured getting up was about as functional of an exercise as one can do. Yeah, it kicked my butt again.
Decided to throw in another bag to see what 2/3 of a loaded bag would feel like.
Yeah, kicked my ... again.
All in all a great workout.
