Work mostly. Today, Sunday I'm on my seventh day and looking at 6 straight ahead of me, all of them looking like 12 plus hours with lots of film business nuttiness.
I didn't "work" last weekend but definitely thought about it, did some shopping and prepping and ran to the office to turn in time cards I didn't have a chance to while officially on the clock.
I thought my days of doing "home work" were over years ago. Ha, ha.
I still managed to enjoy my family and Atlanta and its many diversions and festivities.
I always run into people I know which rarely happened in my many years in Los Angeles.
I came across the 1st AD on our show at the Cabbagetown Chomp and Stomp. And as often happens he ended up standing on my shoulders, his first time ever to do such a thing. Like a pro and there we were a spectacle to behold, so much fun.
Reconnecting with Our X-3 Family
I haven't been able to work out or train for the last several weeks, since I've been back in Atlanta, which is unfortunate because I really need to, but...
Skye's made it in a couple of times and I was lucky enough to be able to celebrate the wonderful Brazilian Jiujitsu master and instructor, Helio Soneca's birthday.
So much fun reconnecting, so looking forward to getting back to training.
Work is really interfering with my "real" life.
Little Five Points Halloween Parade
Cindy and Skye were up visiting relatives in Nashville, so I was on my own for the Little Five Points Halloween Parade and Festival. But I would end up running into and hanging out with the production designer on the project I'm on and his lovely family. As well as many of our circus friends, Katina AKA Happy Hooper, hooping it up in the parade, a herd of unicorns, some work friends, even one of our Milagro housemates from LA.
Atlanta's like that.
Work A Necessary Evil I Suppose
Probably my favorite holiday and Skye in one of her favorite costumes ever, an Anime character of some sort, Naruto I believe. Or maybe its a character from Naruto. Yep feeling old and out of touch, which I'm fine with. We had a fun time at a lantern festival at Grant Park which I was able to catch the tail end of and Skye did end up trick or treating with an Atlantan pal she met last time we were here.
Its been a busy couple of weeks, more to come but I will leave you with a shot from last nights Imperial OPA's performance just down the street, featuring several of our circus pals including our hand balancing instructor Steve.
An amazing and unique person to say the least.
