I weighed in at 204 lbs. and am setting 189 lbs. as my ideal weight, with the addendum of being able to see my abs. I have been under 190 at some point in this millennium, but I have never in my life had anything approaching a six-pack. I know it’s a vanity thing but I also know that if my body fat is at a level where I can see my abdominal muscels, several things that I do on a regular basis will be considerably easier, such as a variety of circus skills and running and jiu-jitsu.
Plus I have a confession to make, I have recently decided to pursue a career as a personal trainer and have signed up for a course to get my certification. It’s a field I’ve always been interested in and have dappled in for years. So I have an additional reason to get into shape.
I will be blogging specifically about my fitness routine, diet and progress on a daily basis, as well as my “normal” updates and spewings. I’ll also share some of the stuff I’m learning in my studies to get certification as well as a lot of the more obscure and not so mainstream methods of working out.
