I had heard about the Foamfest 5k race series and it looked like a lot of fun, however I knew that trekking back to Atlanta to do another obstacle course race after having just run the Sparta Sprint a few weeks before was not an option, so I was thrilled to find out that it was coming to Baton Rouge and immediately signed Skye and myself up.
I tried to convince Cindy to come out and play but she wasn't having any part of the craziness, beyond support crew and photographer.
Racing to Catch Up
As usual I am far behind on my posts and am right now scrambling to throw this one together.
The good news is that I am finally figuring out a bit more about video editing and up-loading, etc, etc. So at least there will be some video clips that don't go on and on and on, although I still have a long ways go and a lot to learn.
On Your Mark, Get Set, FOAM!!!
So much for good clean fun. Not only would we trudge through swamps practically up to our neck at times, we would be slipping and sliding on trails of mud and muck through much of the course.
Running on Water
Sometimes they would be kind enough to help us out on river crossings by putting an obstacle there. "Leap Frog" was one of our favorites.
The Finish Line
There were several other obstacles that involved foam and bubbles and I will be posting more videos, pics and stories, I promise.
But I'm already running late to work and....
