It's been forever and a day since my last post.
It's been forever and a day since I've had a real day off.
It's been forever and a since I've been able to do the things that make me complete;
IE; regular exercise or even irregular exercise, which I suppose is more like me; jiujitsu, Skye's home school adventure, circus arts, farmers markets and on and on.
There's been a lot of stuff going on that has bumped my life off track and fortunately it's not all work, although that is the lion's share.
My love affair with New Orleans continues to bloom. I love its culture, its people, its food, its history, its buildings, its love of life.
In attempt to resurrect my fitness life, I signed up for the Toughest Mudder, a 24 hour obstacle race, the San Francisco marathon, the Burning Man 50K, finally purchased a quality road bike and have started training, albeit in baby steps, cuz I'm still working crazy daze and ours.
I've decorated some pretty amazing sets. I've had some amazing food experiences. My family life, even at a distance has somehow flourished. I've had some set-backs as well, falling into some of my less than admirable patterns and behaviors.

I was the young upstart for so many years.
It was part of my core.
It was what defined me.
However, now after more than a quarter of a century doing the same thing, I've become the voice of reason, the seasoned veteran, the been-there-done-that guy.
And as much as I want to be rid of this business, I still find that suits me. It's hard to imagine not working in this industry.
And so, I find myself filling up my bicycle rack with monkeys on my days off.
