Burpees for Breakfast & TRIBESPORTS
Slept in this first day of 2013, nice and casual, but decided to finish a challenge I had started on Tribesports
200 Burpees in a Month.
So I knocked off 2 sets of 15 burpees and then had a lovely breakfast of Bagel and Lox with a mimosa or two.
One of the things I'm planning on doing this new year is to use Tribesports, (a social-network for sportspeople, to help share, celebrate and improve sporting performance) to keep motivated in the physical fitness side of life. I've got a long journey ahead of me in trying to reach the Ironman goal by the end of the year. As well as the Personal Trainer Certification, the Brown Belt in jiujitsu among others.
As often happens around this time of year, Cindy has a slew of films she wants to see so that she can nominate and vote responsibly as a member of the Motion Picture Academy.
We started out with Cloud Atlas, which I enjoyed quite a bit. It took us around 6 hours to watch, with Cindy finishing up packing and one of us nodding off here and there, so we'd end up rewinding.
But it's been a rainy day so why not.
Then we started watching Les Miserables. I was a bit concerned how long this one would take. After around 45 minutes, we were both under-impressed so started fast-forwarding here and there until we made it through the first disc and then decided to switch to Anna Karenina, which is what we're in the midst in as I peck away at the keys. So far, so good, loving the production design and costumes.
Countdown to the Road
Cindy leaves tomorrow, to work in LA.
We won't be far behind. We have some clues as to where we may end up, but there is much more unknown with loads of variables.
This year looks to be one filled with surprises
