Skye gave me a hand with the Big tent and it went up fairly quickly. In the time it took me to secure and tighten up the floor, she had her tent already up. She got an upgrade from year's past and was quite happy with the extra space.
I got my air mattress blown up with the aid of the Goal Zero generator and went up setting up the solar panels and getting the tent organized.
For the last week and a half, I have been tweaking the various orginiaztional pieces, once I get the place in it's final configuration, I make sure to include pictures of the working interior.
The first night we were in camp I didn't put the new Yeti cooler in the camp provided bear bin, after all it is rated Grizzly Bear proof and I did have it cabled to the bench.
Well apparently bears don't read, because at around 2;30 in the morning I heard one batting around the cooler. After around 20 minutes I decided I had better do something, so I shined my light out of the tent window and yelled at the black object moving around about 20 feet away.
That worked....for around 30 seconds. He or she was back at it. So I got back up and shined the light and yelled a bit louder. I don't know if it was that or that he just got frustrated and decided to move along.
He managed to dirty up the cooler and left one little claw mark, fittingly on the logo.
As is tradition, I went over to Mammoth Brewery and ordered a flight of beers.
I sat down and within a few minutes was greeted with these spectacular rainbows.
It was good to be back home.
